Emily Grabinski is a highly sought-after pianist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has been the acting principal keyboardist for the West Michigan Symphony since 2017 and is the classical pianist-in-residence for their chamber music series. She has shared the stage with internationally acclaimed artists, including but not limited to Sujari Britt, Chee-Yun Kim, Yale Strom, Inbal Segev, and Grammy-winning violinist Philippe Quint. Additional career highlights include performing at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall with her longtime duo partner, clarinetist David Cook (Appian Duo) and being a finalist in the Puerto Rico Collaborative Piano Institute’s International Competition.

Emily graduated summa cum laude in 2011 from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and continued her training in Collaborative Piano at the Cleveland Institute of Music. While earning her Master of Music degree in 2013, she became a primary contributor to Classical Revolution – a chamber music organization dedicated to performing classical music in unlikely spaces. During this time, she could be heard anywhere from the renowned Cleveland Clinic to the neighborhood bar.

Following a rigorous decade of playing within institutions of higher education as a staff accompanist, Emily now balances her performance schedule with instructing a select number of piano enthusiasts at her home studio. When she is not at the piano, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, son, and daughter.
